TAKE-HOME MESSAGES of the International Conference
Models of Early Childhood Services

“All countries face great challenges in order to implement, develop or even maintain quality early childhood services. Due to the current economic situation, these challenges become even greater.” Dr. Richard E. Tremblay, CEECD founding director and INECHD coordinator.

With this in mind, the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development (CEECD), the Strategic Knowledge Cluster on Early Child Development (SKC-ECD) and the Marie Curie International Network on Early Childhood Health Development (INECHD) held in Montreal on June 5-6, 2012 an international conference on the models of early childhood services.

This event gave the opportunity to international experts, policy makers, policy advisors and service planners to learn and share their views and experiences in terms of implementing models of effective early childhood services. The organizing committee would like to share with you some of the main take-home messages gathered during this conference.

This report as well as all the PowerPoint presentations are available at www.excellence-earlychildhood.ca under the Colloquia section.
